A newbie with questions

Hi everyone. I’m based in the UK, a PhD candidate in AI for Sustainability.

I’m interested in using the WikiHouse system to build a house for myself in Winchester, UK. I’ve got a couple of questions and hope you can help with them.

  1. Is there anyone who has built a home and is subsequently living in it who’d be happy to talk with me for 20 mins to share their longer term experience?
  2. Are there any WikiHouses currently being built in the UK I could visit (or does the build happen so quickly that this point is moot)?
  3. I watched a video from ArchitectureUnknown where they stuff wool into the block voids and then hammer a panel on top to complete the block. This seems like fiddly work, susceptible to voids. Is it possible to use SIPs for the sides of WikiHouses, and the WikiHouse blocks for the columns, floors, beams etc? Sorry if this question is naive.

Kind regards
James

Hi James,

I builded 2 wikihouses. I live in first one, and 2nd is almost done and it was a job for friend. If you have any questions contact me Michal.kravcik@outlook.com
