I hope you are doing well. My name is Yuko, and I am currently planning a WikiHouse project in Herrenberg, Germany. I came across your message from 2022 and saw that you are based in Köln and familiar with WikiHouse projects.
I am collaborating with an architect from the Netherlands who is very experienced with the WikiHouse system, and we have invested a significant amount of time, energy, and resources into this project. However, as we are approaching the stage of submitting a building application, we are facing challenges on the German side, particularly regarding structural approval (Statik). My German Statiker and architect are experienced, but they are not familiar with WikiHouse, and they consider the existing WikiHouse documentation largely experiment-based and difficult to adapt for approval under German building law. This has become a critical point for the project.
I wanted to ask if you might know any experts in Germany who:
- are familiar with the WikiHouse system, and
- can advise on or help overcome the structural approval challenges under German building law.
Any guidance or contact you could provide would be incredibly valuable.
