Hi WikiHouse community,
We’re a young architecture office based in Tehran, Iran. Alongside our diverse architectural projects, we’re working on an innovative and social initiative: making it easier for specific segments of society (such as young families or those with limited access to decent housing) to build better, sustainable, and affordable homes themselves.
As part of this, we’re translating official WikiHouse content (in English), along with key articles from reputable sources and related technical reviews, into Persian (Farsi). The goal is to prepare solid documentation for the organizations responsible for technical inspections, engineering approvals, and building permits – making the process smoother in Iran and the region.
Posting this to start engaging with this amazing community and to hear if anyone has tips, suggestions, experiences, or warnings about the translations, adapting to local regulations, or technical challenges.
I’m also really interested in connecting with people who have worked on WikiHouse projects in the Middle East (Iran, Turkey, Arab countries, or anywhere else in the region). I’ve read about various published projects around the world and follow the YouTube channel, but I’d love to hear directly from you! If you’re up for chatting about anything – especially architecture and its connection to this kind of work – or if you’re currently working on a project, I’d be thrilled to hear the details.
Thanks to this incredible WikiHouse community ![]()
